The design reflects the location of the site, sitting at
the highest point of camino alto with views stretching in all directions. The
home terraces to the backyard pool through a series of outdoor spaces each
designed as separate zones while enhancing connectivity to the landscape.
Constructed with precision-build prefabricated modules
led by the architects, the home features high end
finishes and details including Italian millwork in the kitchens and baths. Skylights create a serene, spa-like
atmosphere in the master bath. Utilizing prefabricated
technology, the home achieved a significant construction time savings while
minimizing impact to the site and help preserve the grove of the mature live
oaks flanking the home. Off-site construction is inherently
more sustainable than site-build construction with less waste due to the
controlled environment. Materials are
not subject to moisture, mold, or weather in the construction process providing
straighter construction, reliability, and improved indoor air quality. Sustainable features also include low-flow
plumbing, energy star appliances, low-e insulated windows, and smart LED
lighting.
